Change of Premises FAQ
What do I need to tell bOnline about my premises move?
When you contact us to notify of a change of premises please have the following details to hand:
-Complete new business address (this is needed to check if fibre and broadband are available in the area or if the customer can keep the same number or not)
-Current business address
-The new address must be registered with Royal Mail to place your order. You can check your address is registered, and register a new one, at Royal Mail
Can You keep Fibre?
If your business has Fibre at your current premises, and you would like to transfer this to your new premises, we'll need to check whether this service is available for you. If it is, we'll need to activate your new line first before we can process your Fibre order.
Can I keep my phone number?
We know how important your phone number is to your business, so we aim to help you keep it. If you move within the area covered by your current exchange you can keep your number and we'll check this for you.
If you're unable to keep your number, we'll provide you with a new one at your new premises.
How long will it take?
We know that your bOnline services are important for your business, so we aim to get everything up and running as soon as possible. It will normally take between 10 and 15 business days to complete your line move, but this usually depends on whether or not you need a new line.
If you have a broadband service this will be ordered after your line is connected.
Will an engineer needs to visit?
This depends on what work is needed at the new premises. We'll discuss this with you when you get in touch and if an engineer is needed we’ll arrange a convenient date and time for you.
