This article explains the lights and ports on your 5G ZTE MC888 router so you can understand what each indicator means and use your device effectively.
Indicator lights
1. Signal
On: three lights show the signal strength. More lights on means a stronger signal.
Off: there is no signal or no nano-SIM card inserted.
2. Network
Red: the device is powered on but not registered to the mobile network.
Blue solid: the device is registered or connected to the 4G mobile network.
White solid: the device is registered or connected to the 5G network
3. Wi-Fi
On: Wi-Fi is working normally.
Blinking: WPS is activating.
Off: Wi-Fi is off.
4. Power
On: the device is powered on.
Off: the device is powered off.
Ports and buttons
5. WPS key
Press to activate the WPS function and connect devices without a password.
6. Phone port
Connect a telephone here.
7. LAN ports
LAN1: connect to the WAN in cable broadband mode.
LAN2: connect to a PC.
8. Power port
Connect to the power adapter here.
9. Nano-SIM card slot and reset hole
Card slot: insert your nano-SIM card here.
Reset hole: press and hold for approximately 2 seconds using a pointed object to restore the device to factory settings.
