bOnline mobile app advanced settings

Your bOnline mobile app has a list of advanced settings that give you quick access to notifications, battery optimisation, country, language, and other important features.

How to Open Advanced Settings

  1. Click the My Profile button at the top-right of the screen.

Advanced Settings Explained

Notification settings: Configure your bOnline phone app notifications. You will be redirected to your mobile device's settings.

Battery optimisation (Android): Set your app's battery optimisation here. Make sure it is always inactive for the bOnline phone app.

Country: Set the country you're in when roaming.

Language: Change your app's language. The current options are English and French.

Communication Type — DATA vs GSM: Choose how the app places your outgoing calls.

  • DATA Mode (recommended): Outgoing calls are placed using internet data (mobile data or Wi-Fi) through the app's VoIP system. The app manages the call over the internet and does not rely on the mobile network.
  • GSM Mode: Outgoing calls are placed through your device's GSM (mobile) network. The app does not use cellular data and does not manage the call — your phone handles it as a standard mobile call.

Biometric Authentication: Log in using your fingerprint for quick and secure access to the app.

Event Registration: Your device needs to be registered to receive alerts for incoming calls, chats, and voicemails when the app is inactive. If you are having issues receiving notifications, tap Register again to calls when the app is inactive to refresh your device registration and ensure alerts are delivered when the app is running in the background.
