How to reset your bOnline broadband router

How to reset the Zyxel VMG1312-T20B, Zyxel VMG3925-B10B and Technicolor TG588V V2 routers to resolve connectivity issues.

This article explains how to reset your broadband router. A reset can resolve internet connectivity issues such as no connection, slow speeds or unstable wireless performance. Follow the instructions for your router model below.

Zyxel VMG1312-T20B

  1. Make sure your router is plugged in and powered on.

2. Locate the Power button on the back or bottom of your router.

3. Press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds, then release it.
4. Wait for the router to power back on.

Zyxel VMG3925-B10B

  1. Make sure your router is plugged in and powered on.

2. Locate the Reset button on the back or bottom of your router.

3. Using a paperclip, press and hold the Reset button for 30 seconds, then release it.

4. Wait for the router to power back on.

Technicolor TG588V V2

  1. Make sure your router is plugged in and powered on.

2. Locate the Reset button on the back or bottom of your router.

3. Using a paperclip, press and hold the Reset button until the power goes off, then release it.

4.Wait for the router to power back on.

Please note: resetting your router also clears its memory, which is helpful if you have multiple devices connected or an older router. It is good practice to reset your router roughly every 2 months.
