Why Can’t I Call Certain Numbers from My bOnline Phone Service, and Can I Enable Them?

bOnline's phone service has specific limitations regarding certain destination numbers. Below, we explain why some numbers cannot be called and whether they can be enabled for calling.

Non-Covered Numbers
Certain destination numbers, such as premium rate and some 08xx numbers (e.g., 0844), are not included in bOnline's call service or plans. This means that calls to these numbers cannot be placed using your bOnline phone service. These restrictions are part of bOnline's policy and apply to all users.

Which Numbers Are Not Covered?

  • 09 (e.g., 090, 091, 098): Premium services such as TV voting, competitions and entertainment lines.

  • 118 (e.g., 118 500, 118 118): Directory enquiries.

  • 0871, 0872 & 0873: High-cost business and service lines.

  • 0843, 0844 & 0845: Business service lines.

  • 070: Personal or "follow-me" numbers, often used for call redirects.

Which Numbers Can I Call?

  • 01, 02 & 03: Standard UK landline and non-geographic numbers.

  • 07 (except 070): Standard UK mobile numbers.

  • 0800 & 0808: Freephone numbers.

Can Non-Covered Numbers Be Enabled?
Unfortunately, numbers that are not covered by bOnline's call plan cannot be enabled or included for calling. This limitation is fixed and cannot be adjusted on a per-user basis.

Summary
If you encounter issues calling certain numbers, it is likely because they fall under the category of non-covered numbers. These numbers cannot be added to your plan or enabled for calling. For further assistance, you may contact bOnline's support team to explore alternative solutions.
