Learn how to enable and use both on-demand and automated call recording features in your bOnline phone system. Explore options to manually record calls or automate recordings for compliance and tracking, with tools for filtering and downloading recordings.
If your 'Call recordings' page looks different to what you see below, it could be because you need to upgrade to bOnline 3.0. Book a time or email our team at voipcare@bonline.com to request an upgrade.
On-demand call recording: This feature is used on-demand and can only record one call at a time and must be turned on each time manually.
To initiate an on-demand call recording via the bOnline mobile app, while on a call, click the 'Recording' button at the bottom of your screen.
To initiate an on-demand call recording via the bOnline desktop or web app, while on a call, click the red 'Record' button at the bottom of your screen.
Automated call recording: Quickly activate recordings for users and extension groups using automated call recordings. All calls will be recorded and stored securely to listen to at any time for up to 5 years.
How to pause and resume Automatic call Recording:
Hardphones: Use *3 to start, pause, and resume call recordings.
Desktop, Mobile, Web: Uses the same interface as on-demand call recording.
Only one recording file will be created even when a call is paused/resumed.
A beep sound will play when recordings are paused or resumed.
Automated call recordings are set up based on how many extensions or users you'd like to activate. The recording will stop if the call is transferred or redirected. Whereas, when an extension group is being recorded, the call will still be recorded even if the call is transferred or redirected.
