Modified on Tue, 13 Feb at 4:16 AM

If you have a bOnline router you'll find your Wireless Network Name and Password on the card supplied in your box.

You can change your wireless network name/password on your laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android phone or Android Tablet using the steps below:

NB: These steps will only work if you have a bOnline router. If your router is from a different supplier please check with them for further help and support.

Open your web browser on your device.

Type '192.168.1.1' into the address bar and press 'Enter', just like opening a website.

Enter your username and password.

NB: If you have the Technicolour TG588V2 router your default username is admin and your password is on the sticker on the back of your router. For all other routers, your default username is admin and your password is also admin.

Depending on your router's firmware, you'll see one of the screens below:

Click 'Quick Start' on the left side of the screen.

Type your desired Wireless Network Name into the box beside 'Wireless Network Name (SSID).'

Now type your desired password into the box beside 'Wireless Network Password.'

To finalise your changes, click the 'Connect' button.

Select Wireless on the left side of the screen.

Type your desired wireless network name into the box beside 'Wireless Network Name (SSID).'

Now type your desired password into the box beside 'Wireless Network Password.'

To finalise your changes, click the 'Save' button.

Select 'Wireless.'

Scroll down the page.

Type your desired wireless network name into the boxes beside 'Wireless 2.4 GHz SSID' and 'Wireless 5 GHz SSID.'

Now type your desired password into the box beside 'Password.'

To finalise your changes, click 'Save.'

Choose 'Settings' in the toolbar.

Select 'Wireless' from the dropdown menu.

Type your new wireless network name into the SSID box under the '2.4GHz' or '5HGz' heading.

Scroll down the page and enter your new password into the 'PSK Network Key' box.

Scroll up and select the 'Save' button when you're finished.
