How to configure your broadband router

How to configure your Zyxel VMG1312-T20B broadband router:

Log in to the device via the IP address: 192.168.1.1, username: admin, password: B0n1ine/superB0nline 

Click on the 3 horizontal lines in the top left-hand corner.

Under 'Network settings' click on 'Broadband.'

If you are using fibre click the 'Modify' icon next to ‘VDSL’ and if you are using 'ADSL' click the 'Modify' icon next to 'ADSL.'

Change 'Encapsulation' to 'PPPoE.'

Enter the 'PPP' username and password, this will be on the configuration sheet.

Scroll down and click 'Apply.'

Now you have completed the network setup.

How to configure your Zyxel VMG3925-B10B broadband router:

Log in to the device via the IP address: 192.168.1.1, username: admin, password: 1234

Change the admin password to the password on the configuration sheet.

Click on 'Network settings', and go to 'Broadband.'

On ETH WAN, click the 'Modify' icon on the far right.

Change 'Encapsulation' to 'PPPoE.'

Enter the 'PPP' username and password, this will be on the configuration sheet.

Go to the 'Ethernet WAN' tab at the top to enable the 'LAN4' port as ETH WAN, and 'Apply.'

Ensure the option 'Apply as default gateway' is selected.

NB: Now you have completed the network setup, all that is left is end-user settings and remote management.

Click on 'Maintenance' and then go to 'Remote Management.'

Click all of the trust domains for every port and 'Apply.'

You have now completed the steps to configure your router.
