I have no dial tone or sound on the line

Below are some remedial actions for when you don't hear a dial tone:

  • Check whether or not you are connected with a filter.
  • If yes, remove the filter and test to see if the issue persists.
  • If this resolves the issue you will need to replace the filter you’re using.

Cabling:

  • Check to make sure that your devices are plugged in correctly.
  • Check the curly cord and make sure that it is plugged into the receiver correctly.
  • Ensure that the power cable is plugged in.

Hardware:

  • If possible, try to test a different handset or cable to see if it's a hardware issue. If this resolves the issue you will need to replace the handsets or cables.
