Modified on Thu, 2 Apr at 10:09 AM

This article explains how to factory reset your Yealink handset, find its IP address, and complete provisioning for bOnline's VoIP 3.0 system using the device's web interface.

Before You Start

  • Requirements: Your Yealink handset and the computer or laptop you are using must be connected to the same network.
  • Requirements: You will need the provisioning string from the MybOnline portal. See Managing devices using the MybOnline customer portal for how to find this.

Step 1: Factory Reset the Device

Yealink T Series (corded):

  1. Press and hold the OK button until the device prompts you to reset to factory settings.
  2. Confirm the prompt.

Yealink W DECT Series (from the base station):

  1. Press and hold the button on the base station.
  2. While holding the button, unplug the power cord.
  3. Continue holding the button for 15 seconds.
  4. After 15 seconds, plug the power cord back in.
  5. Release the button only when you see three solid green lights.
  6. Wait 15 seconds.
  7. Unplug the power cord again without pressing the button.
  8. Wait 15 seconds.
  9. Plug the power cord back in and wait until you see two or three solid green lights.

Pair the handset to the base station:

  1. Press the OK button on the handset (the round button between the arrows).
  2. Go to Registration.
  3. Select Register Handset.
  4. Select Base 1. Once selected, press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the base station until a pop-up appears on the handset screen.
  5. Enter the PIN 0000.
Please note: If Base 1 does not work, try Base 2. If the PIN 0000 does not work, try 1379.

Step 2: Find Your IP Address

Yealink W DECT Series:

  1. Press the OK button on the handset three times.
  2. The IPv4 address will be displayed on screen.

Yealink T Series:

  1. Press the OK button on the handset once.
  2. The IPv4 address will be displayed on screen.

Your IP address will look something like: 192.168.1.100

Please note: If the device shows no IP address, the internet is not reaching the device. Check the following: ethernet cables, ethernet ports, firewall settings, and your broadband connection.

Step 3: Complete Setup in the Web Interface

  1. Open a web browser and enter the IPv4 address in the address bar.
  2. Log in with the username admin and the password admin.

Reboot and Upgrade

If completed successfully, the device will reboot and upgrade automatically. Once the upgrade is complete, the device should show a Working/Registered status.

If the Device Was Not Factory Reset

If the device is already provisioned and working without a factory reset, the default login credentials (admin / admin) will not work. Contact bOnline support for the admin password.
