A factory reset restores your Yealink handset to its original settings. This can resolve persistent issues such as call drops, connectivity problems, or unexpected behaviour. This article covers how to factory reset both Yealink W Series (cordless) and T Series (desk) phones.
Yealink W Series (cordless phones via base station)
Use this method if you are using a W70B or other Yealink DECT base station.
- Unplug the power adapter from the back of the base station. If you are using Power over Ethernet (PoE), unplug the network cable instead.
- Wait 15 seconds for the device to fully power down.
- While the base station is still unplugged, press and hold the connect/pairing button on the front of the unit.
- While continuing to hold the button, plug the power adapter or network cable back in.
- Keep holding the button until all three LEDs turn solid green.
- Release the button.
- Wait 5 minutes for the reset to complete.
- Unplug the unit again for 15 seconds, then plug it back in to reboot.
Yealink T Series (desk phones)
- Press and hold the OK button on the phone until a reset prompt appears on the screen.
- Select Yes or Confirm on the reset prompt.
- If prompted, enter the PIN. The default PIN is 0000 or 1379.
- Wait for the phone to restart.
After the reset, you may need to log in to the phone's web interface to reconfigure settings. To find the phone's IP address, go to Settings on the handset, then enter the IP address in your web browser.
