Getting started with your Yealink W73H + W70B

Need to get your Yealink W70B up and running? This guide walks you through powering it on, connecting it to your network, and registering a handset like the W73H in just a few minutes.

Setup Steps:

• Insert the Battery

  • Slide the battery into the compartment at the back of the handset.

  • Secure it with the battery cover.

• Attach the Belt Clip

  • Snap the belt clip onto the rear of the handset (optional use).

• (Optional) Wall-Mount the Cradle

  • Align mounting screws 38 mm apart on the wall.

  • Hang the cradle securely using the slots on the back.

• Connect the Charging Cradle

  • Plug the power adapter into the wall and connect it to the cradle.

  • Place the handset into the cradle to begin charging.

Quick Setup & Register (W70B Base + Handset):

• Connect the Base Station

  • Option A: AC Power + Ethernet

    • Connect the power adapter.

    • Plug the Ethernet cable into your router or switch.

  • Option B: Power over Ethernet (PoE)

    • Skip the power adapter.

    • Just use the Ethernet cable with a PoE-compatible hub or switch.

• Mount the Base (Optional)

  • Use the stand for desktop placement, or mount to the wall (59mm screw spacing).

Pairing Handset with Base Station:

• Put the base into registration mode:

  • Press the paging button on the W70B until the registration LED starts blinking.

• On the handset:

  • Go to Menu → Settings → Registration → Register Handset

  • Select W70B from the list

  • Enter PIN: 0000 (default)

When the registration LED turns solid and the handset shows a signal icon, you're paired!
